3. XiXcoin^® technology and software is Patent^Ⓟ protected and has many Patent Pending^Ⓟ parts, pieces, and components.

4. XiXcoin^® technology contains multiple Trade Secrets that are not to be disclosed.

Data Storage and Data Sharing Disclosures:

1. When a warrant is served and fully executed by a legal entity having jurisdiction in the buyer's domain, the user's domain, an affiliated third party domain, the XiXcoin business domain, or other legally required domain, XiXcoin^® will or may be legally required to disclose, look-up, search known information, or provide obtainable information. This is similar to banking account and bank ledger inquiries, computer data searches, software license holder information, payment history or information, or other required disclosure.

   1. End-user, coin, transaction activity, and other disclosure, search, look-up, and other information may be required to be disclosed under a lawsuit or other legal discovery processes, outside direct law enforcement activity. In most jurisdictions, anyone can sue or seek legal action for virtually anything, proceed with the utmost caution, care, and deliberation.

   2. XiXcoin^®, XiXcoin, LLC, or XiXventures^® has or may have a search and decoding mechanism for coin data, network data, historical activity, and other areas of use or interest by legal law enforcement groups. XiXcoin cannot protect, harbor, nor isolate you from any legal consequences if your activity goes into a legal proceeding or other legal activity.

2. Other parties or devices, including your hardware devices, your computer or hardware applications, your operating system (OS), your Internet Service Providers (ISP), Governmental Agencies, or others may or will be collecting your data activity. XiXcoin^® has no control over your configuration, social requirements, technological infrastructure, or legal obligations.

3. Generally, do not use XiXcoin^® outside any normal use you would use for a checking account, credit card, or other traceable activity. This collectible Digital Currency is designed specifically to be used in widespread use and to be universally available for normal bartering activity for resources or financial instruments of all kinds. XiXcoin^® activity is normally third-party anonymous.

   1. XiXcoin^® normally acts similar to a Friend-to-Friend network or transaction were both parties can fully identify each other. This is somewhat similar to a cash transaction without the in-person nature of the physical experience up to and until legal or audit proceedings occur. At that point, it then transitions to and behaves more similarly to a journal entry transaction where fully traceable information is obtainable. XiXcoin^® is NOT to be used for NON-APPROVED or illegal activity.

   2. Normally, ONLY under a legally required warrant, legal disclosure conditions, a technical change requirement, or an audit correction does your information and ownership become NOT ANONYMOUS and becomes NOT HIDDEN to third-party entities.

Continuous Access:

1. ALWAYS MAKE MULTIPLE BACKUP COPIES OF YOUR COIN FILE DIRECTORY, ACCESS KEY, AND XiXcoin^® Software.

   1. Be sure to store and keep at least one (1) back-up copy of your XiXcoin^® files in a fully capable Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP) protected and electrically grounded storage device.

   2. Be sure to store and keep at least one (1) back-up copy of your XiXcoin^® files in a fully capable locking and protected storage device.

   3. Be sure to keep any password in a physically safe, physically locking, and fireproof place. XiXcoin^® DOES NOT STORE your password, we cannot help you recover your password. Security matters, XiXcoin^® has NO TECHNICAL WAY TO RECOVER YOUR PASSWORD.

2. XiXcoin^® is a distributed system, there is only so much control by design, this enables and allows significant and unmatched security.

   1. When the creators of XiXcoin^® can not normally access your XiXcoin^® password it is much more likely others can not get access to your XiXcoin^®.

3. The toughened security design of XiXcoin^® and the XiXcoin^® security network is a strength, the security design disallows or minimizes centralized attacks.

   1. When creating your password, always use a separate text editor to enter the password and cut-n-paste it into the application for the graphical version.  The terminal based application may not support cut-n-paste password entry, type very carefully. Always check your caps-lock key, your password spelling, and the use of special characters.

   2. Always make your password something easy for you to remember but that remain virtually impossible for anyone else to guess. Do NOT use publicly available names, dates, locations, or other information for your password, use something unrelated, unique, and not easily guessed.

   3. It is HIGHLY and STRONGLY RECOMMENDED that you WRITE YOUR PASSWORD somewhere physically outside of your computer or digital device.  Do NOT store your password anywhere on your computer where it can be digitally searched by text, file format, or other meta-storage information.

Software Operations Disclosures:

1. To help assure your continued use of the XiXcoin^® collectible Digital Currency, we strongly recommend robust back-up practices, disaster planning, and contingency planning.

   1. You may want to use a 'Virtual Machine' or a backup Virtual Machine with your current operating system, user configuration, software, and other requirements to create a parallel environment of your current computing environment. This use strategy is recommended to maintain the access to your XiXcoin^® when your local machine fails, breaks, no longer functions, or goes missing.

   2. For recovery and to reinstall the XiXcoin^® software on any device at some later date, to support upgrades, for disaster recovery, or any other back-up purpose, just go to the XiXcoin^® website, download the installation software, and run the current Wallet.

   3. If you implement a Virtual Machine or backup Virtual Machine computer system, it does not need to be the primary system of use. It can share access to a shared coin directory with the host or main computer system. A Virtual Machine can have a full and unique copy of the a full copy of the coin directory, coin files, and your access key. Your Virtual Machine may also have a full copy of the coin directory, your access key, and any related computer software. Always regularly make a copy of the primary or current coin directory into the Virtual Machine disk system.

      1. Do not share your coin directory or the computer storage within the operating system, across a network, or with the Internet. This applies to hardware based computers or when use is within a Virtual Machine. Sharing disks creates a massive security risk and may very likely cause your machine significant harm. With drive sharing, you may loose your coin value or your security system may become compromised. You must keep your directories and associated computer as safe as technically possible. Do Not Share Directories where XiXcoin^® resides or where XiXcoin^® is located.

   4. Virtualbox.org offers Virtualbox^®, a generally free and open source Virtual Machine software solution for all major operating systems.

      1. For Linux^® systems, the use of KVM (Kernel-based Virtual Machine) or QEMU (Quick Emulator) is a Linux^® Kernel supported an Open Source recommended solution. Virtualbox^® is supported. Other virtual projects may be available including the Xen Project or other virtual solution depending on your specific configuration.

      2. In the Microsoft^® Windows^® 64-bit Operating System, always save a copy of your installation disks, create the required setup recovery disks, and create a back-up of all of your system files, installation disks, and related required software.

2. Warning: In Microsoft^® Windows^® recovery disks are required to actually recover your system and data. Always be absolutely sure to actually make the installation setup recovery disks. If you do not copy and save everything needed, you may or will incur data loss and loose access to your XiXcoin^® or your XiXcoin^® value.

3. For users of Apple Computer, Inc.^® computers, including MacOS^® users, due to external technical requirements only, the XiXcoin^® digital wallet software can not normally support the native Apple Operating System software.

   1. Using a virtual machine software solution to run another supported operating system is recommended. Using a fee Linux^® distribution based virtual machine has no additional costs. Under this solution, your implementation also benefits from having the full security of a Linux^® computer.

   2. Virtualbox.org based OSX host software is freely available. After installing Virtualbox, be sure to install the Extension Pack for “All Supported Platforms”. You may also use the Parallels Desktop for Mac, VMware, or some other available Virtual Machine software as your configuration allows.

   3. With a virtual machine, you can install the XiXcoin^® digital wallet on a Linux^®,  Debian^® or Ubuntu 64-bit GNU^® Linux^® operating system distribution for use with Apple Computer^® based systems.

      1. Be sure to follow the installation and disk partition instructions on this page for your specific installation. When using any Linux^® operating system, we strongly recommend that within the virtual machine setup that you create a separate "physical" partition for the '/' root directory, the 'swap' partition, and the '/home' directory. You must manually partition the system during the initial installation. These "physical" drives do not have to be separate physical drives on the host machine, they only need to be mapped physical partitions inside in the specific virtual machine configuration.

      2. If operating system recovery or upgrades are required, at the recovery operating system installation, in the disk setup sub-portion, you simply mount the old home directory (/home) partition mount and DO NOT format the /home partition. This will save your existing (/home/'user name') settings, documents, files, etc., and hopefully, your XiXcoin^® collectible Digital Currency, the XiXcoin^® software setup, and other required items. Be extremely careful with drive setup and formatting during any recovery operation. You will need to reinstall the XiXcoin^® Digital Wallet, but that should not affect your existing XiXcoin^® Digital Currency.

   4. Some IPhone, iPAD, and related iOS computers may be supported with Virtualbox.

   5. You can always use the Microsoft Windows^® 64-bit Operating System for your specific installation, if you have a fully licensed version of that specific operating system.

   6. In the Linux^® and GNU Project^® environment (Ubuntu^® 64-bit), always format the virtual hard drive or physical hard drive with a separate and unique physical partition for the system root directory (/) mount, the swap disk (swap) mount, and the home directory (/home) partition mount. Always make the home directory (/home) a separate partition.

      1. This requires manually setting up the disk partitions at initial installation. This partition setup allows for easier later upgrades and recoveries. Regular back-ups are required.

      2. If operating system recovery or upgrades are required, at the recovery operating system installation, in the disk setup sub-portion, you simply mount the old home directory (/home) partition mount and DO NOT format the /home partition. This will save your existing (/home/'user name') settings, documents, files, etc., and hopefully, your XiXcoin^® collectible Digital Currency, the XiXcoin^® software setup, and other required items. Be extremely careful with drive setup and formatting during any recovery operation. You will need to reinstall the XiXcoin^® Digital Wallet, but that should not affect your existing XiXcoin^® Digital Currency.

4. For additional security, Virtual Machine Disk Encryption can be used 'with great care'. Warning: If the Virtual Machine operating system fails for any reason, the data may not or likely will not be recoverable when disk encryption is in use.  If you use any kind of Disk Encryption the back-up and recovery process is fully required and much more important.

5. XiXcoin, LLC and XiXventures, LLC have no interest, no affiliation, and no other part of these third-party business entities, their activity, ownership, trademarks, nor their Federal or International Trademark Registrations.

   1. Microsoft^®, Microsoft Windows^®, and Windows^® are trademarks of the Microsoft Corporation.

   2. Linux^® is a family of products and entities. The Linux^® Kernel is owned or controlled by the Linux Kernel Organization.

   3. GNU Project^® is trademarked and owned by its respective entities.

   4. Virtualbox^® is a trademark of the Oracle, Inc^®.

   5. Debian^® is a trademark of the Debian Project^®.

   6. Apple^®, Apple Mac^®, IPhone^®, iPAD^®, and iOS^® are a trademark of Apple Computer, Inc.^®

6. As the overall computer environment evolves and changes, any particular computer system may be more generally at risk of the computer system becoming less accessible and less supported.

   1. Ongoing, regular, and timely software patches, fixes, and corrections are critical for any computer operating system. You must keep your system updated and as secure as possible as it will have collectible Digital Currency and financial value stored on the hard drive(s) or elsewhere.

   2. The software libraries, operating system calls, network configuration, and other aspects of your system are not under the exclusive control of XiXcoin^® nor the XiXcoin^® software system. If the dependent software systems change, future use may be interrupted or lost.

   3. If something changes outside the XiXcoin^® specific setup or software, your future use is more supported and controlled if it is in an active or 'archived' Virtual Machine. We currently support both the 64-bit x86 Microsoft Windows^®, 64-bit x86 Linux^® GNU Project^®, the Debian^® branch, and the Ubuntu^® distributions. As with everything else, the software environment support will change and is planned to expand, see the Road Map.

   4. Be careful with Ubuntu^®, their support for any particular operating system release may be discontinued for updates in an extremely short period of time, as little as 6 months or less. It is Strongly Recommend to ONLY using the Ubuntu^® Long Term Support (LTS) releases. It is recommended that you never use a short-term operating system distribution.
